Aiming to reach the end,

I don’t ask for much,
But I surely would want your heart,
I actually need it,
I don’t want us to be far apart,
Just close,
Even closer than possible,
You are my everything,
When I think things are impossible,
You are the person that makes me glow,
So,
I want to keep glowing,
And in return,
Help you glow,
So we both can be glowing.

It wasn’t until I was left behind,
For me to know what’s best,
I don’t have to be number one,
I could settle for being second,
I use to think only the best were first,
Until I saw what happen to the best,
Risk is definitely a factor,
But not if your life also is,
So as they accelerate,
I slow down, lay back low key,
You can win and paralyze yourself,
I will fall back and take a knee,
I am good,
I will get to where I am going in due time.

Right on time you hated,
Why is it you want to break me down,
I am trying to come up,
I made all the right plays,
But just my luck,
An obstacle arrives,
I dive and duck,
But it caught me anyways,
Trust it sucks,
But in time I broke free,
Catch me,
If you can,
Nah,
I am gone,
Can’t see me.
